  • Terry Ledbetter - Senior Pastor

    Terry grew up in Amory, Mississippi and became a follower of Christ while a part of the children's ministry of the First Baptist Church. He sensed God calling him into vocational ministry during his teenage years. Since the age of 19, he has served on staff and pastored churches across the state. In 2006 he became the founding pastor of NorthStar He and his wife Marla continue to anticipate great days ahead at NorthStar Church.

  • Michael Bowers - Maturity Pastor

    Michael was born and grew up in New Orleans. As a child, he gave his life to Christ during Vacation Bible School at his church. He felt the call to ministry as a teenager and began serving in churches while a student at Mississippi State. It was during that time in college that he met his future wife, Jenny. Michael has served at several churches in Mississippi, Loiuisiana, and Virginia, working with teens, college students, children, singles, and in education ministry.

     

    Michael and Jenny moved to Tupelo in November 1999 to serve at an area church. They, along with children Natalie and Caleb, were a part of the original group that came together to form NorthStar Church. Michael is the Pastor of Maturity, and one of his primary roles is working with the small group ministry at NorthStar.

  • Scott Lentz - Worship Pastor

    Scott grew up in Verona, MS. He became a Christ follower and was baptized at the age of 10. As a young teen he began to serve on his church's worship team. He later felt God calling him to something greater and joined Pastor Terry in 2005 to start NorthStar Church. Scott served as a volunteer worship leader until he moved into full-time ministry as Worship Pastor in 2011. 

     

    Scott leads our Saltillo worship team and supports our other worship leaders, musicians, and vocalists. He also oversees the Production and Technical teams and is responsible for all aspects of the weekend and online worship experiences. He is married to Alana Tucker Lentz (July, 1997) and they currently have five "Little Lentzes".

  • Marsha Flinn - NSKids Minister

    Marsha grew up in Murfreesboro, Tennessee as a pastor's kid and only daughter in a family of eight. Faith in Christ was an intricate part of her family life growing up which greatly influenced her decision to follow Christ at the age of 7. Her journey of faith has also included a calling to ministry at the age of 18; preparation for ministry at Samford University and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary; the blessing of a wonderful family - husband, Jeff and 2 adult sons, Matt and Nate; and the opportunity to serve as an Oncology Social Worker in Birmingham, AL and also as a Children's Minister since 1995 in Tupelo and Saltillo.


    She and her husband, Jeff, became a part of the Northstar Leadership Team in 2006. She currently provides oversight for NSKids and is also the Saltillo Campus Children's Minister. She has a heart to be a part of impacting this generation of kids, parents, and volunteers as together they discover more fully their place in God's story and live into their life purpose.

  • Andrew Ledbetter - Tupelo Campus Pastor

    Andrew met Jesus and was baptized at an early age while growing up in South Mississippi. After his call to ministry, he began to serve as a student small group leader when NorthStar began in 2006 and became the Middle School Student minister from 2007-2012. As the Tupelo Campus developed, Andrew transitioned to the campus pastor role in 2012. He and his wife Blaine are excited to be a part of what Jesus is doing through NorthStar in the Belden area.

  • Wesley Gray - Saltillo Student Pastor

    Wesley was born in Laurel, Mississippi. He moved to Meridian, Mississippi as a child and at age 15 met Christ. As a freshman in college, Wesley began to realize God was calling him to ministry. Wesley met Pastor Terry while attending East Heights Baptist church with his future wife April. In December of 2005 Wesley joined NorthStar as Student Pastor.

     

    Wesley married his wife April in December of 2005 and has two daughters, Layla and Logan. Wesley leads in Student Ministry at our Saltillo campus as well as working to help coordinate our student ministry events at both our Saltillo and Tupelo campuses.

  • Erin Ledbetter - NSKids Minister

    Erin grew up in South Arkansas where her family was involved in church. She put her trust in the Lord and was baptized at 9 years old. When her family was seeking a church home after moving to Tupelo in 2005, they found NorthStar. After serving in NorthStar Kids throughout high school and college, Erin became the Children’s Ministry Assistant and transitioned into the role of Tupelo Campus Children’s Minister in 2013. Erin married her husband, Aaron, in 2013 and have a baby girl, Esther Rhea.

  • Tanner Brown - Students Pastor

    Tanner was born in northeast Texas where he was saved and baptized at age 7. As a pastor's kid, he moved to Florida at age 12 and lived there until graduating high school. God called Tanner's family to move to Tupelo in 2012, where he had the opportunity to serve in a youth ministry. As a Junior at Mississippi State University he felt God calling him to pursue his passion of seeing youth grow closer in relationship with Jesus Christ. Tanner now leads the student ministry at the Tupelo campus.

  • Lori McElhenny - Ministry Assistant

    Lori was born in Palestine, TX. She moved to Verona, MS when she was 8 years old. Lori and her family attended First Baptist Church Verona where she accepted Christ and was baptized at 10 years old. Not too long after moving to Verona her family relocated to Ingomar, where she graduated high school.


    Lori and her husband, Carl, have been married for 17 years and have three children, Chyenne, Madison, and Kastan. After her husband got out of the Marine Corps in 2009, they decided to move back to MS where Lori is from. They began attending NorthStar in 2010 after being invited by friends. After visiting a couple times they felt NorthStar was home for them. God began to restore and redeem what had been lost and broken during her adult years. God restored the joy of her salvation. During our Sun Stand Still series Lori began praying that God would open the door for her to be apart of the staff here at NorthStar. The Lord answered her prayer and in July 2012 Lori was offered the position as Ministry Assistant. Lori takes care of answering the phone, welcoming visitors in the office, preparing the weekly newsletter, and assist the pastoral staff with various assignments.

  • Troy Gause - Senior Pastor

    Pastor Troy and his wife Chanel are lifelong residents of the New Orleans Metro Area. They have been married for 11 years and have four children: Jajuan (boy), Rayelynn, Troiana and Tamera.


    Troy is currently enrolled in New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, pursuing an MA in Apologetics. He serves as pastor/president of Church Without Walls New Orleans and Church Without Walls Jackson. Church Without Walls is a nonprofit organization that holds open-air church services, public feedings and rehabilitation services for the homeless and addicted population of New Orleans and Jackson, Mississippi. 

     

    About the Church Plant

    The desire at Cross Culture Community Church is to be ecclectic in culture as a reflection of the city where God has placed us, to be multiplying in nature by the Holy Spirit He has given us, and to be a genuine gospel-centered place as our Lord and Savior has commissioned us.


    They currently meet for weekly Bible studies in a church members home and are a growing, Christ-centered community that literally reflects the ecclectic cultures of New Orleans.
