Governor Tate Reeves has asked that the people of Mississippi to worship and connect online instead of large gatherings including church services tomorrow. We will therefore, stream our services only. Please stay connected with Northstar Church through the church app, social media, and with family and friends.
In light of the global pandemic concerning COVID-19, we know that “God has not given us a spirit of fear; but of power and of love and a sound mind.” (2 Tim. 1:7)
As a church Leadership Team, we put our trust completely in Him, but we want to be wise and cautious as we enter this season of uncertainty. Our Leadership Team has prayerfully met to discuss the situation and will continue to monitor and evaluate it as we look towards the days and weeks ahead, but we also want to continue to provide opportunities for people to gather for worship and community while we are able to do so safely.
• We WILL have our regular services tomorrow, March 15, at both campuses. At this time, NSKids will also be open and will have their regular meeting schedule. We know that some in our congregation have health concerns, whether it be compromised immune systems, age, etc., so if you are not comfortable getting out to be around others, we encourage you to worship with us from home by streaming our service.
• We also ask that those who have recently traveled internationally, or to an area that has been impacted with COVID-19, to worship with us from home as well.
• Our facilities have been cleaned in preparation for tomorrow’s services, and we will also have other precautions in place to help limit person to person contact. We may not be able to shake hands, but we can give one another a “fist bump” as we worship together.
* As we look forward, we do want to be realistic to what is going on around us, but we also want to be opportunistic to the ministry doors God will open. We will update you regularly when or if the severity level of COVID-19 impacts our community. We will also help you find ways to help YOU impact our community during this time.
